Thanks for your interest in Bonsai and Things Shibui.

Bonsai are a work in progress, they are constantly growing, changing and providing pleasure.  Ours have been created from experience gained from over thirty-five years of experience in practicing the art of bonsai and from studying with bonsai  masters.  We have trees at all stages of development.  Most are designed for beginners and those who simply want one one more trees for decorative display on patios or screen enclosures.  Some are suitable for growing inside the house provided they receive bright light.  Of course a tree might be brought in for a social occasion on the week-end and returned to its outside bench Monday morning.  

These trees have been grown in South Florida and the care sheets designed for each tree is based on our climate.  If you are ordering for a northern climate I will include information with regard to indoor care.  Basically all conifers, junipers and pines, are outdoor trees and need full sun, however they can be put in a coldframe for the winter.  Remember, most of these trees have only 1 to 2 inches of soil, so that freezing weather could damage the roots.  Tropicals sould be brought in when the temperature drops to 40 degrees, but they will need good light.

We have a few select large to very large specimen trees available for a patio or as a focal point of  interest in a garden.  If you want a variety of tree that is not in stock, we will style a custom bonsai for you on request.  Two ficus are much too large to ship, they would need to be picked up here.
