Bougainvillea

Flowering plant, with bracts in various colors, easy to care for.

The bougainvillea glabra and spectabilis have somewhat larger leaves, but the size can be reduced with leaf pruning. Blooms most of the year, especially in the summer. Snipping off dead bloom tips will encourage new growth and blooms. It can be semi-deciduous, losing its leaves from time to time, especially in the winter. Protect from freezing.
