The Hori-Hori was originally designed for excavating aged stock in the mountains of Japan where enthusiasts still find prized specimens for bonsai. The black blade is concave, thick and strong for digging adnpryong in rocky terrain, with semi sharp, beveled and serrated edges for cutting roots. It has a thick natural wood handle for a strong grip and a vinyl sheath with belt loops, 6.5" blade, 11.75" overall.
